1) Exercise

Exercise is an excellent way to stimulate the body and mind and can be especially helpful for people with ADHD. When you exercise, your body releases endorphins, which improve mood and help to focus the mind.

2) Stimulating activities

Activities that are mentally stimulating, such as puzzles or complex Sudoku games, can help to focus the mind and keep it from wandering.

3) Challenging tasks

Tasks that are challenging but achievable can make a person with ADHD feel motivated and stimulated. This may include playing a challenging game or engaging in other activities that make you want to “win.”

4) Mindful meditation

Meditation is a great way for people with ADHD to calm their minds, allowing them to think more clearly and focus on the present moment. It can also help you relax and take time for yourself without feeling guilty about it.

5) Socializing

People with ADHD often have an easier time socializing than they do focusing for long periods of time. They tend to be very empathetic, good at listening, and able to see different points of view. Because of this, spending time around others can be a stimulating form of self-care. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, then spending time around friends can help to take your mind off of your problems for a little while.

6) Stay organized

Staying organized is an excellent way to prevent stress and decrease anxiety. It also makes it easier to remember things like assignments or important meetings because all the information you need will be in one place. Treating yourself to a new planner or notebook can be very stimulating as well. Perfectionists who have everything planned out may find that this helps them feel stimulated too!
